Your stories may be personal. We treat the text you submit as sensitive.
What we collect
We collect the answers you provide, the generated result, technical request data needed for security, and purchase status. Stripe handles your card details; we do not store them.
Why and who processes it
We use your information to take payment, generate and let you revise your writing, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal obligations. Cloudflare provides hosting and storage, Stripe processes payment, and xAI and OpenAI may process text to generate or safety-check your result. These providers may process data internationally under their own legal and contractual safeguards.
Retention
Your answers and generated result are automatically deleted from our active product storage after 7 days. You can use “Delete now” on the result page sooner. Security and payment records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Analytics
We do not send your free-text answers or generated writing to analytics or session replay. We may measure non-sensitive funnel events such as starting or completing checkout.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable by emailing privacy@thewordsyouneed.com. We do not use your writing for marketing or model training by us.
